SENIOR ADULTS

"But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations."

- Psalm 33:11
Calvary Senior Adults have the most fun, no doubt—all for the glory of the Lord! Once a month “Calvary (Senior) Friends” meets for a meal, time of fellowship, fun, and missions. Our “Singin’ Saints” group meets twice a month and they sing together and even occasionally go on tour to local nursing homes. Our seniors are heavily involved in Sunday school, missions, music, children, and both women's and men’s ministries at Calvary!

Calvary Friends

Fellowship Meal & Program

Calvary "Senior" Friends join together each month for fellowship, lunch, a program, and a mission each month!  Comprised of adults over 55, Calvary Friends meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 10AM in the Fellowship Hall and break for the Summer. Calvary Friends is open to non-Calvary folks, as this is a great opportunity to fellowship!

Singin' Saints

Singin' & Fellowship

The Singin’ Saints choir is made up of adults over 50 who enjoy singing traditional hymns & gospel songs. This choir sings on Sunday mornings three or four times per year, is included in our annual Christmas Night of Worship, and goes “on tour” each spring singing at local nursing homes. Singin' Saints typically meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 10AM in the Fellowship Hall and break for the Summer.

Sunday School: Small Groups

Connect, Build Relationships, & Discipleship

We have numerous Sunday school options for those 65 and older. There are co-ed classes, women’s classes, men’s classes, and classes with widows, singles, & those who are married. Click below to plan which class you’ll visit! Look for “Open Door Class,” “Adult 7,” “Adult 10,” “Senior Adult/Adult 4,” “Practical Christian Living,” and more! These classes are very active and intentional in prayer, staying connected, and getting together to fellowship throughout the year.

Conferences & Trips

Travel & Fun Fellowship

Did we mention our senior adults have the most fun?!
Each year our seniors travel typically on a charter bus to Branson, MO to see shows, enjoy many laughs, great fellowship, and more! Many of our group has also traveled to the Getty Worship Conference in Nashville, TN for a week of worship alongside believers all over the nation. A few of our seniors also enjoy carpooling each year to our Lee County Senior Adult Rally hosted by the Lee County Mississippi Baptist Association.
