Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church
We’re glad you visited our site. Inspired by God and led by Dr. David Eldridge and a team of committed pastors, ministers, staff, deacons, and volunteers who are creatively passionate about serving the community and the world, there are a variety of ways to put your faith to work here at Calvary, a church—as it’s always been—of Love and Service.
Calvary was founded in mission-mindedness, so for members it’s an opportunity to serve overseas and at home in Tupelo. In fact, the very strength of Calvary has been its missions and ministries, the two sides of the evangelistic outreach to believers…and those who might become believers. There’s a tug at the heart—something almost entrepreneurial in the “spiritual DNA” of Calvary members—something at the very core of what it means to be a believer, and to really reach out as one. It’s “the call” – and just as God has called Calvary over the years, He continues to call, often at the micro level, sometimes outside the expectations and status quo of a traditional mission or ministry.
That’s what defines Calvary. As Christ broke barriers and redefined spirituality, church life, and relational opportunity, so, too, do we at Calvary strive to simultaneously nurture and educate our members about the true meaning of Christ’s love. Join us for a Sunday service — or Wednesday meal and prayer service — and discover why Calvary Baptist Church is still strong and vibrant after more than 75 years.
