I married Debbie (Powell) in 1972. We have three sons, John, Will and Josh, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and a dog.

Mississippi College, BA Religious Education with minor in Psychology
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Masters in Religious Education

Part-time youth, music and education at College Heights Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas

Hobbies:
Music (playing trombone in a “little big band” as well as the church orchestra and community bands); yard work and time in my workshop; sitting on the back porch or the beach, whichever is closest; reading (historical fiction, religion, biographies, current non-fiction), Golf.

The entire book of Joshua, because it outlines and models what it means to follow God’s leadership throughout a lifetime.  It’s all right there.  Also, Philippians 2:5-11 (one of the most elegant passages regarding the person and purpose of Christ).
