What’s On My Bookshelf?
Perhaps some of the greatest influences in my life have been authors that I have never met but continue to draw wisdom and inspiration. Some of my favorite theological and pastoral influences are C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, Eugene Peterson, Brennan Manning, Philip Yancey, John Stott, Fred Craddock, William Willimon, N.T. Wright, and John Piper. In my free time, I love to read the works of Flannery O’Conner, Walker Percy, William Faulkner, Garrison Keillor, Annie Dillard, Kathleen Norris, and Cormac McCarthy. I also regularly try to fit in preaching books, biographies of great preachers, and good books about the history of baseball.

What’s On My IPod?
I love all types of music, but in the last six months I have been coming back to artists and bands like Caedmon’s Call, Derek Webb, Steven Delopoulos, Jars of Clay, Paul Simon, Ray Lamontange, U2, Josh Ritter, and Glen Hansard.

Life Verse:
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
